AWS Sr. Site Reliability Engineer 6+ Months Video Interview Harrisburg, PA Hybrid 1day/w NO H1B The Senior Site Reliability Engineer leads the migration from the legacy mainframe to the cloud. This position is responsible for driving architectural decisions related to key platforms and capabilities, as well as architecting, designing, and delivering those platforms. The SRE ensures that the cloud services platform performs at expected levels, responds to production issues, investigates root causes, and develops long-term solutions. Responsibilities: Drive architectural decisions and develop guidance and best practices to deliver technical capabilities, particularly in areas of industry expertise. Manage customer expectations, influence key technical decisions, provide best practices, and guide architectural principles while leading communities of practice on essential technology elements. Engineer, deliver, and support all aspects of AWS GovCloud in alignment with NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, and Enterprise Architecture and Security Architecture standards. Debug and maintain cloud-based distributed systems on AWS. Architect, engineer, deliver, and support all solutions as Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, alongside various configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible). Lead performance management, logging, monitoring, reporting, and the management of Amazon Machine Images (AMIs) in conjunction with security policies to ensure compliance and meet audit requirements. Support CI/CD pipelines across multiple organizations. Foster an innovative DevOps mindset to guide the evolution of the Cloud Native environment that supports the organizations vision. Ensure that Cloud Transformation leads to significant cost savings through strong architectural guidance, influencing key stakeholders and technologists to adopt best practices for cost-effective cloud operations. Commit to learning and developing cross-functional expertise alongside industry specialists in various capabilities. Configure essential cloud technologies such as OpenShift, Kafka, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MuleSoft, Ansible, and other tools as necessary to fulfill cloud capability requirements. Recommend, design, and configure VPCs, account management, and implement segregation, routing, and security protocols within the Cloud. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with ten to fifteen years of experience in infrastructure support, delivery, engineering, and architecture, including five or more years of experience in cloud architecture, design, configuration, and support (AWS preferred), or any equivalent combination of experience, training, and/or certifications. Demonstrated experience with FedRAMP and Federal Student Aid. Strong focus on continuous integration and continuous delivery, including experience working on CI/CD pipelines. Advanced experience working in a DevOps and DevSecOps environment, including familiarity with SAFe Agile and Atlassian JIRA. Advanced experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS), including billing, core technologies, Redshift, ELB/ALB, performance management, CloudWatch, and VPCs. Advanced experience with Azure Core, tenancy, and billing. Advanced experience with MongoDB. Advanced experience with PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases. Advanced experience with application container technologies, such as OpenShift, Docker, and Kubernetes. Experience with IT automation tools, such as Ansible. Advanced experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), including expertise in Terraform, Ansible, and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and Perl. Advanced experience with MuleSoft, JBoss, Kafka, and API gateways. Strong problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Required Certifications (Preferred to have as many as possible): AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional (AWS) AWS Certified Developer Associate (CDA) Preferred Experience and Certifications: Experience with DevOps CI/CD pipeline tools, such as Jenkins, GitLab, AppCenter, Nexus, TeamCity, and Selenium.
