This consultant will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the Vertex solution, ensuring accurate tax calculation, reporting, and compliance for our organization. Key Responsibilities: Implement and Configure Vertex Solution: Lead the integration of Vertex tax software with SAP ERP (such as SAP ECC, S/4HANA), including configuration of tax rules, rates, and calculations. Business Analysis and Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and document business requirements related to tax compliance, tax reporting, and transaction tax determination. System Integration: Develop integration points between Vertex and SAP modules (FI, SD, MM) to ensure accurate data flow for tax calculations. Testing and Validation: Conduct and support functional and technical testing (unit, integration, and user acceptance testing) to ensure the accuracy of tax calculation and compliance within the Vertex system. User Training and Documentation: Provide training to business users on the Vertex solution and prepare comprehensive documentation, including configuration, process flows, and troubleshooting guides. Support and Maintenance: Monitor the performance and accuracy of the Vertex solution, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate updates with both SAP and Vertex as needed. Stay Current with Tax Regulations: Keep updated with global tax regulatory changes and Vertex software updates to ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and international tax laws. Experience: Experience with SAP ERP, including modules such as FI, SD, MM. Experience with Vertex tax automation solutions. Skills: Strong knowledge of Vertex software, including Vertex O Series, Vertex Cloud, or other Vertex solutions. Proficiency in SAP ERP systems, particularly with finance and logistics modules. Familiarity with indirect tax concepts (VAT, GST, Sales Tax) and compliance regulations. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot issues and recommend solutions. Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Project management experience is a plus.
