Position Summary As a Test Automation Engineer within the Digital Solutions team, you will drive the effectiveness and sustainability of the test automation process. This role involves hands-on test automation for the clinician programmer, patient mobile app, and cloud-based systems, as well as collaborating closely with software developers to ensure quality and precision. Key Responsibilities Analyze software requirements, test cases, and documentation to break down functionality and automate using a predefined framework and toolset. Collaborate with the software development team to ensure automation accuracy and effectiveness. Design and create hardware simulators for test automation. Mentor team members on automation best practices, tools, and framework usage. Build, scale, and maintain robust automated regression test suites. Author and execute manual test cases as needed. Conduct ripple effect analysis for changes in requirements and design. Continuously monitor automation results, adjusting for optimal performance. Report and analyze defects, working with developers to determine root causes and corrective measures. Maintain traceability between requirements, tests, and risk documentation. Adhere to established standard operating procedures. Required Qualifications Education: Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Software, Computer Science, or related discipline (or equivalent experience). Experience: 6+ years in software testing, automated testing, verification, and/or software development. Skills: o Proficiency in test automation tools for desktop, mobile, and cloud-based systems (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Aligned Elements). o Strong programming skills in C# or Python (preferred). o Experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). o Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with various stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Advanced Degree: Engineering, Software, Computer Science, or related discipline. Medical Device Experience: Experience with active implantable or Class III devices is highly desirable. Regulatory Familiarity: Knowledge of FDA regulation part 820, IEC 13485 / 62304 standards. Automation Expertise: Proven experience in automating tests for medical or high-stakes industries.
