| Senior System Administrator with Solarwinds Exp Department : OA/ETSO Job ID: 749659 Location: PA- Hybrid Job Overview: We are looking for an experienced Senior System Administrator to join the OA/ETSO team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth experience with system administration, including SolarWinds for network and systems monitoring. The role involves managing, optimizing, and securing complex IT infrastructure while ensuring maximum uptime and system performance. Key Responsibilities: Administer and maintain servers, systems, and network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance. Manage and monitor systems using SolarWinds to ensure proactive identification and resolution of issues. Implement and manage system monitoring solutions, including network, hardware, and software monitoring. Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups to ensure security and reliability. Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues, including hardware, software, and network problems. Collaborate with teams to design and implement IT infrastructure improvements and upgrades. Ensure the security and integrity of systems, network devices, and applications. Prepare and maintain system documentation, including configurations, standard operating procedures, and disaster recovery plans. Support the deployment of new applications, tools, and technologies within the IT environment. Required Skills & Experience: 8+ years of experience in system administration or related roles. Proficiency with SolarWinds for system and network monitoring and performance management. Strong experience with Windows Server (2012/2016/2019), Linux (RHEL, CentOS), and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V). Experience with networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN). Strong understanding of system security, firewalls, and access controls. Expertise in backup and disaster recovery procedures. Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Bash, etc.) for automation and configuration management. Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus. Preferred Qualifications: Certification in SolarWinds or related network/system monitoring tools. Experience with system automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef). Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure and integration (AWS, Azure). Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
