| Job Title: Scrum Master Location: Phoenix, AZ --Hybrid Visa : OPT EAD, H1B, H4 EAD (NO GC and USC) Experience Required: Minimum 7 years Need ex - American Express Job Description: We are seeking a seasoned Scrum Master with a strong foundation in Agile methodologies and prior experience working with American Express. This role will support the delivery of high-impact projects, ensuring that Agile principles are adhered to while driving continuous improvement within cross-functional teams. The successful candidate will be a proactive team leader, skilled at removing obstacles, facilitating communication, and fostering a productive work environment. Key Responsibilities: Act as a Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams, guiding the teams to success in Agile practices and values. Coach and mentor team members in Agile frameworks, facilitating a shared understanding of the Agile process and ensuring the teams adherence to it. Organize and lead Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives. Foster a collaborative environment, working closely with Product Owners, development teams, and stakeholders to ensure a clear and prioritized backlog. Identify, track, and resolve impediments to team progress, escalating when necessary to maintain project velocity. Promote and enforce continuous improvement by tracking Agile metrics (e.g., burn-down charts, velocity, etc.) and ensuring they are used effectively for decision-making. Facilitate communication across multiple teams and departments, fostering alignment on project goals, objectives, and timelines. Drive continuous improvement initiatives by leading retrospective discussions, gathering team feedback, and identifying opportunities to enhance productivity and quality. Qualifications: Minimum 7 years of experience as a Scrum Master, with a proven track record of Agile coaching and transformation within cross-functional teams. Extensive experience in Agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe. Prior experience working with American Express or other financial services organizations is strongly preferred. Demonstrated expertise in removing impediments and fostering high-performing teams. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and influence stakeholders at all levels. Familiarity with Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, etc.).
