Lead and participate in all stages of the design process, from user research and concepting to prototyping and final design. Create user-centered designs with an emphasis on functionality, accessibility, and usability across multiple platforms. Build and iterate on interactive prototypes (from hand-drawn sketches to high-fidelity digital prototypes) to communicate design ideas and concepts. Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to inform design decisions and improve the overall user experience. Synthesize analytics data and user feedback to identify and resolve UX pain points and optimize user flows. Maintain design consistency by creating and updating style guides, ensuring all design elements align with brand guidelines and accessibility standards (WCAG). Collaborate with development teams to ensure designs are implemented accurately and efficiently in the software development process. Work within Agile frameworks, participate in Scrum teams, and actively contribute to design reviews and feedback sessions. Stay up-to-date on the latest design trends, tools, and technologies to ensure the team is using the best methods to deliver superior digital experiences. Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members, encouraging best practices in design thinking, problem-solving, and user-centered design. Desired Skills and Qualifications: 2-3 years of relevant work experience or academic studies in design, human-computer interaction, interaction design, product design, or related fields. Strong understanding of design thinking and user-centered design principles. Proficient in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, and InVision. Solid understanding of the software development process and experience working alongside software developers to bring designs to life. Experience designing for digital accessibility, with knowledge of WCAG standards and best practices. Familiarity with basic coding/programming concepts, which can enhance collaboration with development teams. A strong portfolio showcasing a variety of UX/UI design work, demonstrating empathy for users and a solid understanding of interaction and visual design principles. Experience conducting user research, analyzing analytics, and using data to drive UX improvements. Ability to quickly bring ideas to life through sketches, wireframes, prototypes, and other visual assets. Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating within Scrum teams. Exceptional visual design skills and attention to detail. Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities, and effectively collaborate in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Strong communication skills and openness to feedback, with the ability to work iteratively and refine designs based on stakeholder input. Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Product Design, Communication Design, Design Thinking, or related field.
