| Role: Tableau Administrator Location: SFO, CA 94105 (100% Onsite from Day 1) - (prefer local to SFO) Note: No OPT/CPT/GC Minimum 10+ years candidate required Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Tableau Administrator with a deep understanding of Tableau Server and advanced tools associated with it. This role requires expertise in managing, tuning, and securing Tableau Server environments, ensuring efficient performance and smooth data migrations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in server performance tuning, content migration, resource management, and security administration, along with the ability to interface effectively with Site Reliability Engineers (SREs). Key Responsibilities: Tableau Server Performance Tuning: Optimize Tableau Server performance by implementing best practices for performance tuning, load balancing, and resource utilization. Content Migration: Oversee the migration of content between Tableau environments, ensuring data integrity and consistency throughout the process. Resource Management: Manage server resources to maximize availability and performance, including CPU, memory, and storage allocations. Caching Strategies: Develop and implement efficient caching strategies to reduce load times and improve end-user experience. Data Staging: Manage staging of data within Tableau Server, ensuring data is prepared and structured appropriately for reporting and analysis. Security Administration: Configure and maintain security settings, manage user roles and permissions, and ensure data security in compliance with company policies. Collaboration with SRE: Interface with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams to ensure high availability, monitor system health, and assist with troubleshooting and incident management. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Tableau Administrator with in-depth knowledge of Tableau Server and its advanced tools. Strong expertise in Tableau Server performance tuning, caching, and resource management. Experience with data staging, content migration, and Tableau Server security administration. Familiarity with collaborating with SRE teams or other technical support teams. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team. This person has deep knowledge of the Tableau server and the advanced tools we have with it.
