Role: Kibo Commerce Full-stack Lead Work Location: Canada (Remote) 10+ years Experience Mandatory. Job Description: Position Summary: We are looking for an experienced Full-Stack Developer to join our growing engineering team. As a Full-Stack Developer, you will be responsible for designing and building scalable and robust web applications, API services, and tools that enhance Kibos commerce platform. You'll work on both front-end and back-end systems, helping deliver best-in-class features to support business needs and enhance customer experiences. Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable front-end and back-end code. Develop and implement user interfaces and web applications that are high-quality, responsive, and aligned with UX/UI best practices. Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and other Engineers to develop high-performance, scalable, and maintainable software solutions. Work on RESTful APIs, integration of third-party APIs, and services that connect front-end interfaces to back-end infrastructure. Develop and maintain database schemas, queries, and optimize database performance. Participate in code reviews, and mentor junior engineers to ensure code quality and standards. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the production environment. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in full-stack development, particularly as they pertain to e-commerce and the Kibo platform. Qualifications Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Technical Skills: Front-end: Proficient in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern front-end frameworks/libraries (React, Angular, or Vue.js). Back-end: Strong experience with Node.js, .NET, or Java-based frameworks, along with RESTful APIs. Database: Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB). Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud services like AWS, Azure, or GCP. Other Tools: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and Git. Testing: Experience with unit testing and automated testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, Selenium, etc.). Additional Preferred Skills: Experience working in e-commerce or retail technology. Knowledge of Kibo Commerce platform (preferred but not required). Familiarity with microservices architecture and event-driven systems. Knowledge of Headless CMS and GraphQL. Soft Skills Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment. Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
