Job Title:  Accounting Project Coordinator

Work Mode : hybrid 

Location :  Harrisburg, PA. ( Hybrid role and must reside within 2 hours of Harrisburg. )

Visa: USC/GC

MOI: Skype

Duration: 12 Month

We are seeking a resource with a minimum of five (5) years of SAP financial modules experience. Please send any resumes of candidates who fit this role.

             Extensive knowledge and experience in Cash Management, Payments and Bank Connectivity, Treasury and Risk management, Working Capital Management

             General broad understanding of the financial procedures and policies 

             Proficient technical writer

Position Duties:

For this position, candidates should have extensive experience working with the Treasury, Working Capital Management, Funds Management, and the FICO (Financial Accounting and Controlling) modules. Certifications in SAP S4 Finance modules will be a plus. Candidates must understand Finance and Treasury End-to-End business processes, data, and transactions. Must be detail-oriented and have strong analytical, communication and collaboration skills.

The selected Candidate will perform the following duties:

             Serves as business point of contact and subject matter expert to the SMART Project.

             Serve as SME on Finance business processes for the implementation of new or revised financial enterprise software system, application, processes and related systems and procedures.  

             Provides project leadership, coordination, data, testing, and support for assigned financial subsystems. Assists project team with implementation project, and communication plans.  Drafts or revises related policies and procedures as impacted by the project.  

             Must have the ability to quickly adapt and learn PTCs current state end-to-end Finance and Treasury businesses processes. Understanding our current state business and system processes will be vital to facilitate mapping of new business requirements in our to-be design. 

             Assist in providing strategic oversight for existing and new business requirements for reporting; partnering with IT and Master Data to find efficient solutions.

             Partner with the System integrator, internal IT, and the Finance teams to develop the departments reporting capabilities to provide flexible reporting and analysis tools for strategic analyses, operational reporting, and decision-making support.

             Support Data Profiling and Cleansing of Finance master and transactional data

             Support Data reconciliations and validations in support of project activities

             Support all Project testing activities.

             Identify and document all GAPs, risks, and mitigation strategies.

             Support Cutover and Hypercare support post-go live.

             Develops and documents workflow processes in the operation of Financial Systems.  Works with the system integrator and Information Technology staff to implement complex workflow processes.

             Assists project team in identifying training needs which Includes initial training for new users, training on new processes or training to groups on specific functionality, etc.  Assists in developing user procedures, guidelines, and documentation where required.

             Assures modifications and upgrades are successfully tested before implementation to the live environment.

             Supports best practices for system and process change management, documentation of system processes and business practices, and the development of standards for processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Leadership & Coordination: Lead and coordinate project activities, acting as the SME for the SMART project and financial business processes.

End-to-End Business Process Expertise: Quickly understand and map current state finance and treasury business processes to new project designs.

Data Management & Support: Conduct data profiling and cleansing, support data reconciliations and validations, and ensure data accuracy throughout project phases.

Testing & Quality Assurance: Support all project testing activities, ensuring modifications and upgrades are successfully tested before implementation.

Documentation & Workflow Development: Develop and document detailed workflow processes and related system operations in collaboration with IT teams and system integrators.

Risk Management: Identify and document project risks, GAPS, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure smooth project execution.

Reporting Capabilities: Partner with IT, system integrators, and finance teams to develop and enhance reporting capabilities for strategic and operational needs.

Cutover & Hypercare Support: Provide critical support during system cutover and post-implementation phases.

Training & User Support: Assist in training initiatives, create user procedures, guidelines, and support documentation for new processes and functionalities.

Process & Change Management: Advocate and implement best practices for process change management and system documentation.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

SAP Financial Modules Expertise: Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with SAP S4 Finance and Treasury applications, including Cash Management, Payments and Bank Connectivity, Treasury and Risk Management, and Working Capital Management.

Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and thoroughness in managing project details and documentation.

Analytical Thinking: Ability to solve complex problems, analyze data, and provide strategic recommendations.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with stakeholders at all levels.

Project Management Experience: Proven track record in planning, scheduling, monitoring, and problem-solving within complex systems projects.

Technical Writing: Proficient in documenting processes and creating clear and concise user documentation.

Knowledge of Financial Practices: Comprehensive understanding of accounting, financial procedures, and policies.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

5+ years of experience with SAP financial modules (S4 Finance, Treasury apps).

Certifications in SAP S4 Finance modules are highly desirable.

Demonstrated expertise in project management, data management, and financial reporting
