This role is responsible for transforming person-centric processes into structured, automated workflows, continuously improving key enterprise monitoring processes, including change management, incident reporting, and problem resolution. The consultant will also evaluate, prepare, and implement technical solutions for both on-premises and cloud-based applications, enhancing operational efficiency and service delivery through well-documented procedures.Qualifications:- 5+ years of experience in SolarWinds administration and deployment.- 5+ years of Ansible administration and deployment experience.- 3+ years of experience with Log Analytics in Azure.- 8+ years of experience with Microsoft Windows Server administration and deployment.- 3+ years of Linux Server administration and deployment experience.- 5+ years of experience with PowerShell scripting.- 3+ years of Incident Management experience, with a focus on monitoring services. Description of Duties:Technical Subject Matter Expert: Serve as the SME for enterprise-wide monitoring systems, providing oversight on significant Commonwealth implementations.Monitoring Tool Management: Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize monitoring tools such as System Center Operations Manager, SolarWinds, SightLine, and SquaredUp. Implement improvements to achieve high-quality services.Data Interpretation and Reporting: Process data and create dashboards that provide meaningful insights for business and operational needs.Automation Development: Develop, document, and maintain automation for both on-prem and cloud environments, creating SOAP/REST/JSON/API integrations using PowerShell and other compatible languages.Incident and Problem Management: Work with the Enterprise Change Manager and Incident Manager to ensure standardized procedures and documentation are applied across incident and problem management. Oversee timely service restoration and root cause analysis.Documentation and SOP Development: Create and maintain documentation for both new and existing workflows, ensuring processes are organized, secure, and accessible for future reference.Communication Strategy: Establish clear communication protocols for changes, incidents, and problem management across the Network Operations Center (NOC). Manage distribution lists for effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Compliance and Policy: Contribute to policy development aligned with Commonwealth IT standards and participate in enterprise change management meetings. Utilize the ServiceNow Change Management tool to submit change requests as needed.Disaster Recovery Planning: Design disaster recovery plans for network infrastructure and participate in regular plan updates and testing.Continual Learning: Stay current with advancements in network and monitoring technology by reviewing technical resources, attending training, and participating in relevant events. Additional Details:Only candidates currently residing within Pennsylvania will be considered.Schedule: 40 hours per week with a hybrid work option (at least one day per week in the office).
