Role: Python Developer with Databricks Work Location: LA/ Dallas/ Atlanta remote Long term JD: Looking for a skilled Python Developer to manage monthly accrual reports using Databricks and Python. The role requires expertise in writing databricks python notebooks, handling API integrations, data cleansing, and troubleshooting to support critical end-of-month financial processes. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute Python scripts within Databricks to fetch and process data from Tempo Timesheets in Jira for complex financial calculations. Integrate with Tempo, Jira, Jira Align APIs to aggregate accrual costs by epics and generate actionable insights. Integrate with rate information files to calculate monthly accruals based on employee/contractor classification and submitted time. Configure, maintain, and optimize Databricks notebooks for seamless data processing and for generating reports which involve complex financial calculations. Troubleshoot and resolve bugs or issues on the fly, particularly during critical end-of-month accrual generation processes. Generate, validate, and share monthly accrual and financial reports, ensuring they align with organizational requirements. Required Skills and Qualifications: Strong proficiency in Python programming, with hands-on experience in API integration and debugging. In-depth knowledge of Tempo, Jira and Jira Align APIs for data extraction and transformation. Proven experience in configuring and optimizing Databricks notebooks. Expertise in data cleansing and validation to ensure accurate and reliable accrual reporting. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve bugs quickly, especially under time-sensitive conditions.
