Strong in Workday!!! MUST HAVE: Workday Research/Grants administration, and Higher Education. 3-5+ years of Lead experience within Workday. This person needs to be able to lead the group and make business decisions instead of having information fed to them. They need to lean more towards the business side instead of the implementations side. This person should be able to understand and talk about the business process of grants/sponsor programs. Directs and oversees externally funded programs for a university/college such as research programs and scholarship programs. Responsible for managing the administrative activities of the program including identifying funding sources, acquiring funding, setting program policies and objectives, and allocating resources. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. M02-Manager (True 1st level Manager) : Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes. Strong working knowledge of the grant/sponsored programs lifecycle, including pre-award and post-award phases (administrative and financial). Additional exposure to ancillary topics including effort reporting and subrecipient management preferred. Subject matter expertise level knowledge of grant and contract accounting practices, including internal control practices and operational processes/SOPs. Knowledge of accounting processes, including cash management (billing/collections), financial reporting, and closeout processes for sponsored programs. Experience with developing institutional reports in support of internal business processes. Experience with data clean-up and data migration initiatives.
