This role involves overseeing the database infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. The Level 3 DBA provides technical expertise, leads database projects, and collaborates with other IT teams to deliver robust and scalable database services. Key Responsibilities: Database Management: Possess in-depth knowledge of MongoDB architecture, installation, and administration. Manage MongoDB, including installation, configuration, and performance tuning. Database High Availability and Disaster Recovery: Develop and test disaster recovery strategies to ensure data availability and business continuity. Database Security: Enforce security measures, access controls, and encryption to protect sensitive data. Perform periodic security audits and vulnerability assessments. Database Performance Tuning: Identify and resolve complex performance bottlenecks, slow queries, and resource contention issues in MongoDB. Database Backup and Recovery: Develop and maintain comprehensive backup and recovery strategies for MongoDb Perform regular backups and test recovery procedures to ensure data recoverability. Database Monitoring and Alerts: Set up proactive monitoring and alerting for database health and performance issues. Respond to alerts and incidents promptly to minimize service disruptions. Database Patching and Upgrades: Database Automation and Scripting: Develop and maintain automation scripts and workflows to streamline routine database management tasks. Database Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Lead efforts to diagnose and resolve complex database-related issues. Collaborate with Level 1 and Level 2 support and other teams to address escalated incidents. Database Project Management: Lead database-related projects, such as database migrations, consolidations, and performance enhancements. Requirements: Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). Several years of proven experience as a Level Mongo Database Administrator. In-depth understanding of Mongodb architecture, configuration, and performance tuning. Strong proficiency in Mongodb architecture, installation, configuration, and administration. Familiarity with database security, backup, and recovery best practices. Experience with database clustering and load balancing technologies is advantageous. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve complex database issues.
