Skills Required Intermediate professional level role supporting multiple services and databases of medium to high complexity (based on database size, technology, systems feeds, and interfaces), ensuring control, integrity, and accessibility of data. Experience working on multiple projects as a project leader or advisor, with coaching capabilities for junior technical staff. Advanced knowledge in MS SQL Server and Datawarehouse, MS Internet Information Services (IIS), PowerBI, and SSAS. Expertise in creating, deploying, and monitoring SSIS packages. Proficiency in maintaining SQL report servers (SSRS) and knowledge of SQL Server encryption. Familiarity with best practices for Microsoft SQL Server security standards. Expert-level knowledge in backup & recovery and on-prem to cloud migration. Good knowledge of Azure, industry-standard server hardware, operating systems, storage, virtualization, and networking technologies. Familiarity with Power, database source control, and continuous integration tools. Knowledge of RedGate, Tableau, and Idera Data Architect tools. Power BI capacity administration: managing data source connections, access permissions, creating workspaces, publishing Power BI reports, and dashboards. Familiarity with Snowflake. Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all management levels. 8+ years as an MS SQL Server database administrator with a strong focus on SQL Server 2016, 2019, and 2022. 8+ years in SQL Server database performance tuning, with an understanding of indexing, execution plans, DMV, storage, problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution. 8+ years in scripting or using tools for monitoring, backup & recovery, and maintenance automation. Hands-on experience with on-prem to cloud migration and troubleshooting SSIS packages. 5+ years in MS Internet Information Services (IIS), focused on server administration and web application deployment. 5+ years of experience in creating SSIS packages. Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field. Microsoft Certification in SQL Server Database Administration.
