This is all around cost optimization strategy with some scripting knowledge to build dashboards. NEED Sr. Profiles only. ********************************************************************************************** AWS Finance Cost Optimization Location: Chicago, IL Hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote Duration: 8+ months Qualifications Deep knowledge of AWS billing structures, pricing models, and services Experience leveraging cloud financial tools like AWS Cost Explorer, AWS Budgets, and AWS Billing Console Experience defining and implementing tagging policies and cost allocation mechanisms Understanding of financial controls and implementing them cross-functionally Basic scripting (Python, Bash) for creating custom cost review dashboards and proficiency with reporting tools like PowerBI, Tableau or excel Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally Preferred: experience with automation tools (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation) Deliverables include process to identify and optimize resource utilization and reduce waste Understanding and recommendations with regards to purchasing strategies Process to create forecasts and budgets for cloud spend based on current and projected service mix and usage pattern Policies and process around cloud financial governance, including budget alerts, spending limits, approval workflows based on spend thresholds, tagging and cost allocation strategy Develop an AWS bill audit process and conduct regular reviews Participate in cloud and vendor contract discussions Define maturity targets for the Finance function with regards to financial transparency, optimization and planning capabilities Responsibilities Deliverables include process to identify and optimize resource utilization and reduce waste Understanding and recommendations with regards to purchasing strategies Process to create forecasts and budgets for cloud spend based on current and projected service mix and usage pattern Policies and process around cloud financial governance, including budget alerts, spending limits, approval workflows based on spend thresholds, tagging and cost allocation strategy Develop an AWS bill audit process and conduct regular reviews Participate in cloud and vendor contract discussions Define maturity targets for the Finance function with regards to financial transparency, optimization and planning capabilities Keywords: Illinois AWS Finance Cost Optimization shivani.sharma@adventatech.com |
