Please share Local to MA profiles only Job Title: Senior Network Engineer Location: Taunton, MA and Fall River, MA (Onsite) Job Type: W2 and C2C Experience Required: 9+ Years Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer with 9+ years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise-scale network infrastructures. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of modern network architectures, cloud technologies, security protocols, and performance optimization. As a senior-level engineer, you will lead network projects, mentor junior engineers, and play a key role in enhancing the overall network infrastructure.Key Responsibilities: Network Design & Implementation: Design and implement complex network solutions to meet business requirements, including LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, and data center networks. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure integration of network designs with applications, storage systems, and security protocols. Troubleshooting & Performance Tuning: Perform advanced troubleshooting on network performance, security, and connectivity issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal service levels. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve network reliability and efficiency. Network Security: Oversee and implement network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and secure access policies. Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and industry best practices to safeguard network infrastructure. Network Monitoring & Optimization: Use network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, Wireshark) to proactively monitor network health and performance. Optimize bandwidth, troubleshoot latency issues, and identify areas for network capacity planning and scalability. Leadership & Mentoring: Lead network-related projects from design to deployment, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives. Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing expertise in network troubleshooting, design best practices, and professional development. Collaboration & Documentation: Collaborate with IT teams, vendors, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and operation of network infrastructure. Create and maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for network architectures, configurations, and operational procedures. Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in networking technologies, including SDN, cloud-based networking, and automation tools. Evaluate and recommend new technologies or processes to improve the efficiency, security, and scalability of the network. Experience: 9+ years of experience in network engineering with a proven track record of working in complex network environments. Extensive experience with routing and switching protocols (e.g., OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, MPLS). Hands-on experience with network security technologies (e.g., firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, NAC). Experience with network monitoring tools, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
