This role will be responsible for installing, configuring, managing, and troubleshooting middleware technologies to ensure smooth operation of applications and systems across the enterprise. The ideal candidate will have experience working with cross-functional teams to support mission-critical systems in a production environment.Key Responsibilities: Installation, Configuration, and Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain WebSphere Application Server, MQ, Tomcat, WebLogic, and JBoss environments. Manage updates, patches, and upgrades for all middleware systems. System Monitoring and Performance Tuning: Monitor middleware environments, analyze performance, and conduct capacity planning. Optimize configurations to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance. Implement and monitor logging, alerting, and application performance management tools. Troubleshooting and Support: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve middleware-related issues, working with application, network, and database teams as needed. Provide on-call support for middleware environments as part of a rotating schedule. Deployment and Environment Management: Develop and manage deployment scripts, automation tools, and processes for application deployment in middleware environments. Collaborate with DevOps, development, and QA teams for CI/CD processes. Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain security best practices, including SSL, encryption, and user access controls. Ensure compliance with industry standards, data protection regulations, and internal policies. Documentation and Process Improvement: Maintain up-to-date documentation for configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides. Identify opportunities to improve processes and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). Experience: 3-5+ years of experience in administering WebSphere, MQ, Tomcat, WebLogic, and JBoss. Proven experience in a production environment, supporting high-availability systems. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of middleware and web server administration (WebSphere, MQ, Tomcat, WebLogic, JBoss). Proficiency in Linux/Unix and Windows environments. Experience with scripting languages (Shell, Python, etc.) and automation tools. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Ansible, Jenkins, and monitoring tools like Splunk or Prometheus. Knowledge of networking fundamentals, firewalls, and load balancers. Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Preferred Qualifications: Certification in any of the relevant middleware platforms. Experience in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Knowledge of ITIL practices.
