Title: .Net Technical Lead with Microservices and Azure Location: Remote Duration: 12+ Months Contract Job Description: The Tech Lead will not only be responsible for hands on development but will also be responsible for leading his or her distributed Agile team. An ideal candidate should be able to manage distribute teams across different time zones. You will be involved in technical reviews, architecture support and striving to bring about engineering excellence. The goal should be to lead the team to continuously improve and provide value through innovation and quality. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum 10+ years of experience in software development. Minimum 6 years of experience with Microsoft .NET/C# Minimum 5 years of experience with Microservices, Microservices Architecture, APIs/Web Services. Must have experience with .NET Core 6. Experience with Google Cloud/ Azure 2+ years of experience with Azure cloud native technologies 50-60% Hands on Coding and Client facing experience required Nice to have experience with Redis cache NoSQL (MongoDB) database experience Knowledge of Confluent Kafka experience Nice to have ElasticStack, LogStash/Fluentd, Kibana Experience with front end frameworks especially Angular Must have previous experience as a Team Lead Must have worked in an Agile structure preferably in Scaled Agile. Nice to have with Behavior Driven Development - BDD Nice to have knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps Knowledge of docker Containers, Kubernetes or Azure Kubernetes Service experience. Git-based repositories. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in software engineering or Computer Science. Experience with Middleware and building Rest APIs Experience with design patterns and/or SOLID software design principles. Strong business acumen concerning development of new technologies. Experience in writing multi-tenant software platforms Essential Functions: Act as a Team/Tech Lead for their team. Ability to manage and work with both the onshore as well as Offshore team members. Should act as an effective communicator between the team locations as well as with the end customer. Oversees the timely, effective, and quality delivery of software into production. Defines or refines standards for the design and development of software. Collaborates with developers, QA, operations, and management to provide technical direction in requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment. Establishes and reviews business and technical requirements and overall project plans to define or refine standards, ensure adherence to standards, and to facilitate the transfer of knowledge throughout the development staff. Completes product technical design and prototyping, software development, bug verification and resolution. Performs system analysis and programming activities which require extensive research and analysis. Provides technical/engineering support for new and existing applications from code delivery until the retirement of the application. Provides both individual and budget-level task and project effort estimates/costs and oversight. Develops and tests applications based on business requirements and industry best practices. Creates required technical documentation. Adheres to documented departmental and corporate standards. Oversees the definition and documentation of standards. Contributes to defining and improving department processes Collaboratively works with QA team to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products. Collaboratively works with customer support team to resolve or diagnose defects. Performs release validation testing and beta support for projects. Research problems and develops solutions to the problems. Conducts unit testing and integration testing for functionality and limits. Assists in training and mentoring less experienced peers. Identifies and evaluates new technologies and development environments. Contribute to product architecture.
