In addition to Java/J2EE development experience, they are seeking candidates with full stack development and DevOps experience. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Develop and maintain Java applications using J2EE, Servlets, Spring, and related technologies. Build and consume web services (SOAP/REST) and integrate with CI/CD tools. Design, optimize, and manage complex database queries and procedures, especially in PostgreSQL and MongoDB. Implement security protocols for authentication and authorization of services. Contribute to full-stack development, including front-end technologies such as JavaScript, JSF, and PrimeFaces. Conduct ad hoc data analysis and generate reports to support business needs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions. Minimum Candidate Characteristics: 8+ years of Java/J2EE development experience - Ad hoc data analysis and reporting 4+ years of DevOps - CI/CD, GitLab, Maven, and Jenkins Mongo DB/ Postgres JS, JSF, Prime Faces XSD and schematron Exceptional Candidate Characteristics: Experience with HHS agency and/or healthcare applications I. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES We are seeking a Java Database Developer - Level III to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining database-driven Java applications, ensuring optimal functionality and efficiency. This role involves collaboration across teams, with a focus on delivering scalable, high-performance solutions. II. CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Requirements: Candidates that do not meet or exceed the minimum stated requirements (skills/experience) will be displayed to customers but may not be chosen for this opportunity. Years Required/Preferred Experience 8 Required Hands-on Strong experience in Java development, including extensive experience with J2EE, Servlet and related technologies. 8 Required Hands-on Strong development experience in implementing applications utilizing any J2EE Application Server, Java security authentication and authorization of servicce and user accounts 8 Required Hands-on Proficient in using Servlets, Spring and Spring Batch for web application development. 8 Required Experience in ad hoc data analysis and reporting. 4 Required Hands-on Strong experience in building and consuming Web Services (SOAP/REST). 4 Required Hands-on experience with CI/CD, GitLab, Maven & Jenkins. 4 Required Hands-on Experience in Full Stack Development and working with front-end technologies such as JavaScript and JSF and Prime Faces 7.0. 4 Required Hands-on Experience in design and development of XSD and schematron data validation rules 4 Required Hands-on Experience in at least one application server configurations (WildFly, Tomcat or WebLogic) 4 Required Expert level understanding of Mongo DB and Postgres databases, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, aggregate operations and performance tuning. 4 Required Experience in designing & optimizing database queries and procedures in Postgres and Mongo DB 8 Preferred Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 8 Preferred Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment 2 Preferred Familiarity with Azure App Services & Cloud Services. 2 Preferred Familiarity with healthcare or State Department applications is a plus.
