| Product Owner / Scrum Lead (Airlines Experience is a Must) Location: Atlanta, GA (On-site) Employment Type: Long-Term Contract $55/hr C2C VISA : GC / CITIZEN Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Product Owner to lead Scrum teams in an Agile environment at our Atlanta, GA office. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing vision and direction to the development team, managing the product backlog, and ensuring the successful delivery of product features. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders, prioritizing tasks, and resolving impediments to meet release and sprint goals. Experience with APIs, SOAP services, and a background in the travel domain is highly desirable. This is a long-term contract opportunity with the potential for continued engagement. Key Responsibilities: Lead Scrum Teams as the Product Owner, providing vision, direction, and clear requirements throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure the team always has a well-prepared set of tasks to work on during each sprint. Plan and prioritize the product feature backlog and manage development to ensure timely delivery. Lead the planning of product release cycles, setting clear expectations for the delivery of new features and functionalities. Actively participate in mitigating impediments impacting the successful completion of release/sprint goals. Manage backlog and plan iterations, ensuring user stories are well-defined and elaborated for the team. Collaborate closely with Product Management to maintain the product backlog according to business priorities and ROI. Work with Lead Developers and Architects to identify technical dependencies and coordinate with other teams and Product Owners to resolve them. Create mapping documents and work with Swagger for upstream API specifications. Required Skills & Experience: Proven experience as a Product Owner leading Scrum teams in an Agile environment. Experience working with APIs, SOAP services, and familiarity with data formats such as JSON and XML. Hands-on experience with tools like VersionOne, POSTMAN, and SOAP UI. Ability to understand product architecture and collaborate effectively with Lead Developers and Architects to manage technical dependencies. Strong experience in backlog management, iteration planning, and user story elaboration. Experience in the Travel domain is highly preferred. Comfortable creating flow diagrams, use case diagrams, and other technical documentation. Nice to Have: Experience with Swagger and advanced tools such as POSTMAN, SOAP UI, Flow Diagrams, and Use Case Diagrams. Skill Level Description API Knowledge (REST/SOAP) Advanced Strong understanding of both RESTful and SOAP APIs, ability to define technical requirements and work with the development team on integration. JSON & XML Advanced Proficient in working with JSON and XML data formats for APIs, configurations, and data exchange. API Testing Tools (Postman, SOAP UI) Intermediate Experience using tools like Postman for testing REST APIs and SOAP UI for testing SOAP services. Swagger Intermediate Ability to read and interact with Swagger API documentation to understand and create mappings for API integrations. VersionOne Intermediate Familiar with VersionOne for Agile project management, managing product backlogs, and sprint tracking. Architecture Understanding Intermediate Ability to work with developers and architects to identify technical dependencies, understand the system architecture, and resolve potential blockers. Flow Diagrams & Use Case Diagrams Intermediate Ability to create flow diagrams and use case diagrams to communicate technical processes and product requirements clearly.
