Role: Databricks Architect Location: San Antonio, TX (Day 1 Onsite) Duration: Long term contract on C2C/W2 Responsibilities: The Databricks Architect will serve as a technical thought leader and SME for our public cloud ecosystem of partners, customers, and service providers. You will plan, analyze, design, test, and deploy enterprise-scale Databricks solutions. You will be a technical subject matter expert on Databricks solutions. You will develop relationships with key customer stakeholders and help them achieve their business goals. Databricks Architects have to work with 2-3 scrum teams executing the roadmap. 15+ years industry experience building and supporting large-scale cloud systems. With minimum 7 years experience in Databricks. Provide reference architecture and guidelines for technology adoption, emphasizing cloud migration, and data modernization. Should have sound knowledge in Data Engineering. Have built Databricks solutions with public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP Expertise in Data Engineering technologies, Databricks, Spark, Pyspark, Hadoop, Delta Lake, Kafka and working knowledge for data processing and transformation. Build the infrastructure required for optimal ETLELT pipelines to ingest data from a wide variety of data sources using Microsoft Azure technologies such as Azure Data Factory and Databricks is an advantage. A working understanding of Data Warehousing concepts of Data Vault, Dimensional modelling, OLAP design. Lead the design and implementation of data artefacts, including data modelling, data integration, data storage, and data governance based on industry best practices and client-specific requirements. In-depth experience with data governance, data integration and related technologies. Proficiency in a variety of database technologies, both relational and non-relational. Extensive experience with CICD platforms such as GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, AWS Code Build, Azure Pipelines, and Jenkins. Skilled in scripting languages including Python, Bash, and PowerShell. Familiarity with log and monitoring solutions is a must. Experience in utilizing development containers, unit testing code quality review/linting - standard best practice. Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proficiency in Python and SQL for data transformation and querying. Strong analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting abilities. Strong expertise in version control systems. Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication and collaboration skills. Power BI experience is an advantage. Databricks certified candidates will be preferred (1.) To architect, design and develop (through Team) solution for product or project and sustenance delivery (2.) To bridge the gap between client needs and business goals by gathering requirements, crafting innovative solutions with deep domain or technology expertise, and driving successful implementations that propel strategic initiatives. (3.) To ensure knowledge up-gradation and work with new technologies so that the solution is current and meets quality standards and the client requirements (4.) To review architecture and design deliverables and ensure solutions adhere to industry best practices ,architectural standards simultaneously establish and enforce governance or compliance measures. (5.) To train and develop team so as to ensure that there is an adequate supply of trained manpower in the said technology and delivery risks are mitigated (6.)
