| From: Ravina, Vyze Inc [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Senior SQL Developer Boca Raton, FL - On-site 4 Days/Week 6 Months Contract to Hire Visa- USC and GC MOI- Skype + Onsite Senior SQL Database Developer experienced in the development, optimization, and maintenance of SQL database systems. In this role, you will design complex data solutions, support critical applications, and drive improvements in database performance and efficiency. Youll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that our data architecture aligns with business needs and adheres to best practices. Key Responsibilities Design, implementation, and optimization of SQL databases to support high-availability applications. Develop, test, and refine complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers for use across the organization. Drive database performance tuning, monitoring, and query optimization efforts to enhance efficiency and scalability. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers, promoting best practices for database development. Collaborate with application development teams to support integration, data architecture, and performance requirements. Develop ETL processes and support data warehousing solutions to facilitate analytics and reporting. Maintain documentation, including data dictionaries, ER diagrams, and process documentation, ensuring that its up to date and accurate. Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across all database systems. Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in SQL development and database administration, with a strong background in SQL Server. Experienced in T-SQL and a proven track record of designing efficient and scalable database solutions. Strong knowledge of database performance tuning, indexing strategies, and query optimization. Experience with ETL processes and tools, preferably SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). Familiarity with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and data visualization tools such as Power BI. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues. Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams Preferred Skills Experience with cloud-based database solutions, such as Azure SQL Database. Familiarity with Agile methodologies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Collaborate with the development team to understand data requirements and assist in the development and maintenance of SQL databases. Support database applications and reports while learning the fundamentals of database development. Assist in the design and implementation of basic business processes using T-SQL, including the creation of stored procedures, views, and functions. Participate in identifying and resolving database-related issues and contribute to the optimization of database performance. Contribute to the development of proposed database solutions, including considerations for security, backup, and recovery. Work with senior team members to enhance stored procedures and Transact-SQL queries. Collaborate with colleagues to identify opportunities for process improvements and software development tools. Actively engage in educational opportunities and stay updated on industry trends. Begin to use SQL monitoring software and assist in ETL processes for production and test environments. Gain experience in Application Lifecycle Management and assist in test-to-production deployments. Focus on delivering excellent service, understanding the company's business, and responding to internal customer needs. Note: This position requires working on-site 4 days a week.
