In this role you will work on existing mission critical applications to create and maintain back-end software in Oracle PL/SQL. Local candidates are require d as there is an onsite component to the work. Responsibilities for the Oracle PL/SQL Backend Developer include: Taking direction from senior developers and collaborating with internal teams to produce software. Participating in requirements analysis. Interpreting business requirement documents; writing clean, scalable, and functional code; unit testing code; preparing applications for deployment to production; and creating documentation as required. Fixing defects in legacy code. Working with source control on multiple simultaneous branches. Providing production support as needed, this includes being available to provide third tier support to the help desk on assigned weekends and holidays if needed. Improving existing software. Required skills for the Oracle PL/SQL Backend Developer: 8-12+ years of experience and expert level experience as a PL/SQL Application Developer using Toad, SQLPlus Must be able to create views, packages, functions, and stored procedures in PL/SQL Must be able to work with collections and async processes. Must be able to interpret execution plans and optimize queries and functions. Must be able to create complex DML, and debug it as needed. Must be able to work remotely and on-site based on client requirements. Must have excellent troubleshooting and communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
