The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with network hardware, software, and security systems, as well as a strong understanding of network architecture and protocols. This is an onsite role requiring a dedicated presence at our [specify site/location] to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime of the network systems. Required Skills & Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience). Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role. Hands-on experience with network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls). Experience with LAN, WAN, VPN, and network security protocols. Technical Skills: Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, etc.). Expertise in configuring Cisco, Juniper, or similar network devices. Experience with firewall configurations (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA). Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark). Understanding of VLANs, subnets, and IP addressing schemes. Certifications (Preferred): CCNA, CCNP, or similar networking certifications. CompTIA Network+ or similar. Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
