Duration - 6+months contr act Location: St Louis _ Missouri _ - 63119 _ Onsite job Rate - $50/hour on c2c Only USC / GC candidates _ Junior profile is also OK Key Responsibilities: Network Design & Implementation: Design, configure, and deploy network solutions, including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points to support business needs. Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, performing regular checks and resolving connectivity issues to ensure minimal downtime and disruption. Security Management: Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems to protect the organization from threats. Performance Optimization: Analyze network performance and provide recommendations for improvements. Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues promptly. Documentation & Reporting: Create and maintain network diagrams, configuration files, and technical documentation. Prepare reports on network performance, outages, and incidents. Collaboration & Support: Work closely with IT support teams and other departments to resolve network-related issues and provide technical support for network-related projects. Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure all network activities comply with industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Stay updated on best practices and emerging technologies. Required Skills & Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience). Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role. Hands-on experience with network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls). Experience with LAN, WAN, VPN, and network security protocols. Technical Skills: Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, etc.). Expertise in configuring Cisco, Juniper, or similar network devices. Experience with firewall configurations (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA). Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark). Understanding of VLANs, subnets, and IP addressing schemes. Certifications (Preferred): CCNA, CCNP, or similar networking certifications. CompTIA Network+ or similar. Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
