| Email from Technix LLC Direct client position Position: Database Administrator Duration: 9 Months (100% Remote) Location: Austin, Texas Agency: Texas Health and Human Services Commission Client: State of Texas Job Id: 529501239 (Candidate Must Be Local to Austin, Texas Only) DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES TIERS project has increased demand due to Cloud Migration efforts. The increase in demand requires additional support with code releases in all environments, development, test, production, training and disaster recovery. Support is also required for improving the disaster recovery process to reduce the workload required to support Disaster Recovery. Duties include maintain grid and database software, performance tuning, ASM/storage management, and administrating user/db security. This position will support Oracle database on Oracle Exadata systems. This position will also provide additional support for MSSQL Server Enterprise for a critical application in TIERS and this expertise does not exist on the team. The position is required to provide on weekends during a release and/or maintenance. The position is required to be on call. This position will also support for PSR Team including analysing, troubleshooting, and executing data corrections production databases. Required Skills: 8 Years of Experience In-depth knowledge of Oracle internal views, shell & SQL and PL/SQL scripting . 8 Years of Experience in managing Oracle databases versions on Linux systems including shell scripting and tuning . 8 Years of Experience in Solid experience in managing Oracle version 19 databases , Real Application Clusters (RAC), and Active Data Guard . 8 Years of Experience in developing tools to administer large numbers of test & development database environments. 8 Years of Experience with on-call and providing 24x7 coverage for supporting Production & Development database systems. 8 Years of Experience in designing, installing & maintaining large size databases. 8 Years of Experience Thorough knowledge and working experience in setting up infrastructure for databases in datacentres at multiple sites including cloud infrastructure. 8 Years of Working experience in moving live production, development and testing database and applications hosted in different physical sites. 8 Years of Experience with administration of Oracle database on Oracle Exadata database machine including configuration and patching. 8 Years of Experience with administration of MSSQL Server, EDB PostgreSQL Enterprise databases. 8 Years of Experience with migration, configuration and support of Oracle databases on AWS cloud infrastructure (others considered). 8 Years of Experience perform Database refreshes/clones and provide support for building development and testing databases. 8 Years of Experience in troubleshooting the database software and its infrastructure and where necessary engage and support the software vendor with problem analysis and resolution. Preferred Skills: 4 Years of Experience in using Remedy , ITSM , PPM and Service Now.
