Job Description - Job tittle: Snowflake Database Administrator Location: Hartford, CT hybrid Visa: GC, , USC , GCAED, MOI: Skype Need DL and linkedin MUST have at least 2 years functioning as a Snowflake DBA Required: -This is a mid- senior level opening so 5-8 yrs in IT is best - REMOTE IS NOT AN OPTION!!! - If they have prior background as DBA in SQL or Oracle or Terradata, that is fine but must have recent 2 years in Snowflake DBA role. - Need experience working with Snowflake vendor on new Snowflake features/ and issues -Snow Pro certification is a HUGE plus! -They need experience/ solid understanding of Snowflake architecture, computing, storage, integrations, secure data sharing, - They do not need insurance domain or prior experience with this Client/ Travelers insurance. Note: This is not a Snowflake Developer role! Collaborate with end users to resolve issues. Complete user requests and ServiceNow tasks in a timely manner. Participate in on-call rotation and provide off-hour support. Prioritize work and manage projects within established budget objectives and customer priorities. Perform other duties as assigned. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of Snowflake architecture and operation. Proficient in Snowflake SQL and understanding of its unique features. Solid understanding of Snowflake features: Cloning, Data Sharing, Secure Views, caching, Warehouse sizes, and scaling. Experience with Snowflake data loading and unloading processes. Familiarity with Snowflake's security features and role-based access control. Knowledge of integrating Snowflake with various data sources and BI tools. Strong relational database and SQL skills. Thorough working knowledge of all tools and techniques required for area(s) of responsibility. Understanding of the business that the assigned projects are supporting. Business Knowledge & Partnership: Addresses business partner issues professionally and promptly. Proposes solutions that optimize project value. Communicates effectively with diverse audiences. Problem Solving & Decision Making: Demonstrates strong analytical and diagnostic skills. Follows through on decisions to achieve intended results. Executes tasks to completion and optimizes resource use. Leadership: Maintains effective partnerships within the department and with business customers. Provides valuable input to management and influences peers and project staff inclusively. Planning and Project Management: Prioritizes key project tasks and maintains a clear sense of priorities.
