Role: AI Engineer Location: Remote Duration: Contract Position Description: Core Responsibilities: Design, develop, and deploy generative AI models and LLMs for healthcare applications. Implement and evaluate agentic solutions that automate and enhance user interactions. Develop and optimize retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines for enhanced information retrieval and response generation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define AI product requirements, project specifications, and system architectures. Preprocess and analyze large datasets to extract meaningful insights that drive model training and optimization. Conduct thorough evaluations and experiments to validate and iterate on model performance, ensuring reliability and scalability. Integrate closed and open-source AI models seamlessly into production environments. Maintain, monitor, and improve the performance of existing AI systems, ensuring their scalability and alignment with organizational objectives. Document processes, methodologies, and findings, clearly communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders through reports and presentations. Stay current with the latest advancements in generative AI, LLM development, and related technologies to continually enhance product capabilities. Required Qualifications Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering or a related role. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Java. Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., Tensor Flow, PyTorch, Keras, Scikit-learn). Demonstrated experience with evals, agentic frameworks, and RAG systems. Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and statistical methods. Experience with AI architecture patterns and cloud-based deployment strategies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Ability to work with both closed and open-source models, optimizing their integration for product needs. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Experience in developing and deploying multi-agent systems or frameworks. Knowledge of generative AI use cases specific to healthcare. Familiarity with MLOps practices for automating and scaling model deployment. An understanding of ethical considerations in AI development and deployment.
