Job Type: Contract USC Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cybersecurity Network Engineer to join our team. This role is responsible for maintaining and securing our network and OT environments, implementing best practices for segmentation and access control, and ensuring high-level protection across infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in network segmentation, vulnerability management, OT containment tools, and incident response, as well as strong knowledge of Cisco technologies, virtualized environments, and advanced cybersecurity protocols. Key Responsibilities: Implement and manage network segmentation and isolation strategies to enhance security across critical systems. Administer and harden Active Directory and Windows Server environments to prevent unauthorized access and enhance system integrity. Configure, deploy, and maintain Cisco ISE, Stealthwatch, and AAA tools for robust authentication, authorization, and accounting. Lead and manage vulnerability assessments, patch management, and threat detection processes, ensuring timely identification and resolution of security gaps. Deploy and manage containment/protection tools for OT environments, such as Forescout, to secure industrial and operational systems. Manage and support virtualization infrastructure using VMware and virtual switches to optimize security and performance. Administer endpoint credential and privileged access management systems to control and monitor elevated privileges. Required Skills: Core Networking: Strong skills in BGP, OSPF, and Cisco switching. Physical Security: Experience with Physical Access Control Systems and Video Management Systems. Cybersecurity Frameworks: Deep understanding of incident response plans/programs, threat detection, vulnerability assessments, and deception technologies (honeypots/honeynets). Data Analysis: Ability to analyze and interpret security data to detect, prevent, and mitigate threats. Communication and Collaboration: Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and clearly communicate security strategies and insights. Preferred Experience: Optical Networking: Knowledge in DWDM and SONET. Network Monitoring and Management: Experience with Nozomi, TDI, and Gigamon maintenance and management. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent work experience). 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network engineering, or related roles.
