Job Title Lead Workday QA Duration 6+ months contract Location REMOTE USC GC ONLY Client - WWT Onsite/Hybrid/Remote : Remote with travel. Start Date : 12/16/2024 (Part time). Full time beginning January 2025. USC/GC Remote with Paid Travel Requirements : Education : Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience required. Certification : ITSQB certification preferred. Project Experience : HCM implementation required, Workday implementation preferred. Knowledge : Workday Launch implementation experience preferred. Knowledge : Leader and contributor of QA services in an organization that uses formal project management methodology and SDLC process. Knowledge : Understands the SDLC environments necessary for development, QA, and production. Experience partnering and influencing when necessary the creation of necessary test systems. Demonstrates knowledge and awareness of Quality Assurance: Unit Testing, System Testing, Integration Testing, User Interface / Creative Testing, Regression Testing, End to End Testing, Performance Testing, Load/Stress Testing, Security Testing, User Acceptance Testing, Disaster Recovery, Fail Over, ADA Compliance, etc. Demonstrated experience influencing change in an immature environment, implementing best practices, improving overall delivery and quality. QA Experience includes : QA strategy, planning, and execution. Project resource planning. Implementation of QA process, tools, and techniques. POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the HCM Program Manager, the QA Lead is responsible for the test planning and execution of the HCM Project. This role focuses on developing our testing capabilities to ensure a quality, end to end solution for the HCM Project. This role demonstrates strong partnership across IT and business teams. This role ensures our team is continuously utilizing QA best practices. ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS: QA Strategy & Plan: Creates a comprehensive test strategy and plan for the HCM project. Ensures the test plan covers necessary scope to include; test cases, systems, data, and team members. Aligns testing activities to a clear schedule. Aligns team on the QA methods that will be used for the HCM project. Team Management: Establishes QA objectives for the project; ensures alignment with HCM project leadership. Partners with project team members to develop QA skills, develop test cases, and execute testing. Test Execution: Plans, coordinates, and facilitates all activities related to testing. Ensures QA involvement in solutions for QA strategy, plan, and execution. Ensures reporting of testing progress and defect management is accurate. Leads defect management; ensures defects are replicated, documented, prioritized, and retested with appropriate urgency. Partners with QA team, development, business analysis, and project management, to monitor testing outcomes and draws relevant conclusions. Solution Readiness: Understands what can and cannot be tested, and why. Demonstrates a strong voice for QA, clearly communicates testing progress and testing outcomes. Ensures management and business partners have relevant information for readiness and launch decisions. QA Process: Applies QA processes and methodologies for the HCM project to ensure the project meets customer expectations. Partners with IT and business to set standards and acceptance criteria. Project Management: The QA lead is accountable for the overall project management of all QA activities. Scope: Ensures scope of testing is clear and aligned Resources: Ensures necessary systems and people are identified Schedule: Ensures the QA schedule is integrated to the overall project plan Issues/Risks: Partners with the HCM program manager to identify and manage QA issues and risks Complex System Integrations, Testing Environments, & Data: Seeks to understand complex end to end testing, integrating multiple systems across multiple teams. Identifies the different types of testing and data required for end-to-end testing, partners with internal technical teams and external partners to ensure end to end testing environments and data are established according to project and testing schedules. Test Automation: Forward looking, the QA lead positions the HCM project with quality and standards that will be easily translated to QA Automation. (Keysight/Eggplant experience a plus.
