JOB TITLE: Service Analyst

LOCATION: Waukegan, Illinois-HYBRID(NEED LOCAL CANDIDATE)

Duration: 12+ months

Max C2C Pay Rate: $44/hour

Position Summary

The Service Analyst is responsible for overseeing production processes and ensuring quality metrics are met for applications with low risk and complexity. This role involves working closely with service providers, managing SLAs, and supporting application maintenance tasks and critical production services.

The Service Analyst will act as the primary escalation point for issues, manage tickets, and coordinate with technical teams to lead smaller projects and ensure timelines are met.

Key Responsibilities

    Service Management: Oversee critical production services, including Incident, Problem, Service Transition, and Disaster Recovery. Coordinate audit and compliance-related activities.

    Disaster Recovery Oversight: Review DR plans, coordinate test drills with service providers, and ensure recovery plans are effectively executed.

    Service Transition: Ensure service transitions are executed correctly by providers. Provide feedback on change and deployment processes.

    Performance Monitoring: 

o    Evaluate trends and improvement plans from service providers.

o    Review SLA compliance and implement corrective actions for performance issues.

o    Conduct daily ticket activity reviews and assess incident/problem management efficiency.

    Collaboration and Escalation: 

o    Act as the first escalation point for incidents and problems.

o    Collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring the prioritization and resolution of system recovery issues.

o    Participate in priority incident calls (P1-P2 MIM bridge) and confirm business impact.

    Access and Compliance: 

o    Coordinate annual access certification for IT systems and ensure proper authentication controls are in place.

o    Support vendor-initiated continuous improvement plans.

    Process Development and Improvement: 

o    Provide feedback to enhance service operations and transition processes.

o    Conduct post-installation analysis and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications

1.    Education: 

o    Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.

2.    Experience: 

o    2-4 years of combined experience in IT, with exposure to ITIL methodology and SLA management.

o    Leadership experience with smaller project management responsibilities.

o    Hands-on experience working with service providers.

3.    Technical Skills: 

o    Proficient in ServiceNow (dashboard creation, ticketing).

o    Familiarity with SQL, infrastructure, or development technologies.

4.    Soft Skills: 

o    Excellent communication skills to work with stakeholders, service providers, and technical teams.

o    Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

    Certifications: ITIL certification preferred.

    Industry Experience: Pharmaceutical or regulatory application background.

    Project Management: Exposure to project management and disaster recovery planning.

    Tools Knowledge: Experience with JIRA and ServiceNow platforms is highly desirable.

Work Schedule

    Regular hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

    May require extended hours during high-priority incidents.
