Seeking an AWS Dev Ops Engineer to join our Insurance Client on a contract basis, this individual will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining business applications and SaaS solutions. Required Skills: 8-12 years of IT Infrastructure experience with 7+ years in AWS cloud environment Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and solutions Must have experience with Docker and Kubernetes, EKS AWS services like Lambdas, EC2, S3 bucket, Connect Strong computer, hardware, software, and analytical skills Proven ability to assess business needs and translate them into relevant solutions Strong understanding and knowledge of the principles and practices associated with database maintenance and administration Experience installing, configuring, documenting, testing, training, and implementing new applications and systems Working knowledge of a wide variety of programming languages Excellent analytical skills Education: Bachelors degree in computer science, Mathematics, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure best practices and implementation knowledge required. Certifications & Licenses: AWS Certifications a plus. Key Accountabilities: Provision new solutions and capabilities in a cloud infrastructure to meet the evolving business needs and requirements. Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot core business applications, including application servers, associated hardware, endpoints, and databases Configuration of system to utilize cloud infrastructure effectively. Manage high availability, logging, patching, monitoring, availability, change management, CI-CD in the cloud environment. Experience with automation solutions like Terraform, Packer. Experience with languages like Power and Python Design and implement a infrastructure monitoring solution to obtain the greatest amount of uptime with a proactive approach to determining infrastructure issues before they lead to operational downtime. Managing AWS services like EC2, S3, Connect, WAF, and overall cloud service offerings to produce the most efficient and cost-effective solution for the business. Design and implement AWS administration based on best practices. Design and implementation of automation of required tasks within a a cloud infrastructure. Understand cloud security and work across the departments to implement robust solutions that allow operational activity in a secure manner. Experience in cloud networking and physical network knowledge. Other projects and duties as assigned.
