Please let me know if you are interested in the position Title: Senior Network Engineer Location: Albuquerque, NM Onsite Duration: 6-12Months VISA: USC Only ---------------------------JOB DESCRIPTION--------------------------- Key Responsibilities: Deploy and maintain Cisco routers and Catalyst switches, including Tier 2/3 troubleshooting and engineering tasks. Operate and maintain Cisco and Palo Alto devices, ensuring clear documentation of all changes (engineering documents, topology diagrams, and IP assignments). Work in a remotely administered, lights-out environment using pre-configured equipment and out-of-band management. Create and update network topology diagrams, configuration control proposals, and operational procedures. Install and operate open-source software for network performance testing and monitoring. Troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues across switches, routers, desktops, printers, and servers. Perform fault detection, identify performance metrics, and generate reports to meet service level requirements. Be available for planned or unplanned maintenance during nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Security, or a related field. 3-5+ years of experience supporting Gigabit Ethernet LAN networks with expertise in Spanning Tree Protocol, VLAN Trunking Protocol, and IPSEC over GRE tunnels. Strong knowledge of TCP/IP stack, application transport protocols, and network infrastructure protocols (SSL/TLS, DNS, DHCP, etc.). Experience with Cisco VOIP configuration and scripting tools such as Python or Ansible is a plus. Hands-on experience with MPLS, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, FlexVPN, and VRFs. Proficiency in network diagnostic tools (Wireshark, TCP-Dump) and Cisco IOS command syntax. Active DOD or DOE Security Clearance preferred.
