Position: Cyber Data Engineer Location: Remote (100%) Duration: 6+ Months Job Description The Cyber Data Engineer contract role will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining secure data pipelines and architectures to support our client's cybersecurity initiatives. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to create efficient, reliable, and scalable data solutions while ensuring the integrity and security of sensitive information. RESPONSIBILITIES Design and implement data pipelines using scripting languages (Python preferred) to support cybersecurity data needs. Develop and maintain data engineering architectures using tools such as Presto, Clickhouse, AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, and Jupyter notebooks. Create web-based dashboards and metrics to visualize cybersecurity data, aiding in monitoring and decision-making processes. Collaborate with technical stakeholders to discuss design, architecture, and requirements, ensuring alignment with cybersecurity goals. Prepare detailed architecture and design documentation to support system transparency and compliance with cybersecurity standards. REQUIREMENTS Expertise in scripting and data pipeline development: Proficiency in Python for developing secure and efficient data pipelines. Strong knowledge of data engineering design architectures: Experience with tools like Presto, Clickhouse, AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, and Jupyter notebooks. Proficiency in web development for data visualization: Experience in creating dashboards and metrics for cybersecurity insights. Experience with database and data lake technologies: Proficiency in working with databases and data lakes such as Hive and MySQL. Excellent communication skills: Ability to engage with technical stakeholders to discuss and document design, architecture, and system requirements.
