Role: We are looking for a senior C++ developer to help us prosper our massive existing codebase around core Treasury/Cash suite. We are looking to enhance the suite extensively in the coming months in terms of both functional enhancements and non-functional critical C++ related upgrades. Considering Omnium is on migration path from on-prem to Azure, the candidate should have proven expertise in migrating existing on-prem applications to MS Azure. We are looking for the candidate to join the team as an individual contributor and help us with continuous upgrades and cloud migration. The candidate is expected to have worked with minimal technical supervision in the past and should have ability to drive complex changes on their own. Overall experience Level: 10+ yrs Qualifications: At least 8 years of professional experience with significant exposure to large complex projects with cross functional teams. Over 4 years of experience in working with MS Azure with solid exposure to the Azure ecosystem. Ability to create IAAS using technologies like Terraform and/or Kubernetes. Proven experience pushing C++/Python applications to containers for an Azure migration. A proven Security, DevOps and VM background to leverage multiple approaches in the migration. Strong Experience in developing secure, low-latency enterprise level applications in Linux environment using C++ (including C++14/17), Boost and STL libraries. Experience in developing highly secure code by following guidelines like OWASP, NIST would be strongly desirable. Solid background in relational/document-based databases. Experience in developing high performing RESTful web services with database connectivity. Experience in working with scripting languages -Bash, Python and the like. Exposure to C++ unit testing frameworks would be desirable. Tasks & responsibilities: Develop and maintain massive existing C++ codebase pertaining to core Treasury modules. Building and maintaining reusable C++ components/libraries for future use. Responsible for efficiently working with other teams in the organization to help them upgrade to latest client-side libraries in our quest to modernize the C++ stack. Secondary Skills: Highly motivated, self-directed and possesses solid execution skills. Demonstrates critical thinking and probes beyond the surface of the requested data to get at the valuable (actionable) information. Able to understand complex technical concepts quickly. Detail oriented but understands broader impacts of requests. Adjusts quickly to changing priorities as necessary. Manages multiple tasks and deliverables simultaneously and in an organized and results-oriented manner.
