Responsibilities: Splunk Cyber Security Engineer will be responsible for engineering data ingestion into Splunk instance is configured and maintained properly. This includes but is not limited to onboarding new data ingestion sources, modifying and adjusting current sources and maintaining the backend of Splunk throughout the Operations Technology Network. Splunk Backend Management o Management of Indexes o Onboarding new Indexes as needed o Onboarding Log Sources o Maintaining Current Log Sources o Installing/Update Apps and Addons in Splunk o Researching Splunk Add-ons o Splunk Change Management and Maintenance Network Knowledge (Understanding of how data flows throughout the network) Linux Syslog Maintenance o Log Rotation o Maintenance of Syslog Services Red Hat Linux Administration o Linux Updates o Security Patching o Splunk Deployments On Call for Splunk related outages Requirements: 3 Years Experience with Splunk Core. 3 Years Experience with Splunk ES. 3 Years Networking knowledge. 3 Years Experience with Splunk Management of Indexes. 3 Years Experience with Splunk Apps and Addons Configuration Knowledge. 3 Years Experience with Red Hat Linux Administration. 3 Years Experience with Splunk Log Source Onboarding. 2 Years Experience with Linux SysLog Administration.
