I have the following requirements with one of my direct Only Locals from Ohio will be submitted Job title: Oracle/SQL Developer Location: Columbus, OH Duration: 1+ Years Interview mode: Webcam ***4 Days onsite 1 day remote*** Key Responsibilities Developer is primary responsibility and expertise. Admin is secondary. Database Development: Design, develop, and optimize complex queries, stored procedures, triggers, views, and functions using SQL and PL/SQL. Ensure adherence to best practices for database design, scalability, and performance. Database Administration: Perform routine database maintenance, including backups, recovery, and updates. Monitor and optimize database performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks. Implement security policies and protocols to protect sensitive data. Database Management: Design and maintain database schemas, ensuring data integrity and normalization. Manage data migrations, including importing/exporting data between Oracle and SQL Server. Support database upgrades and implement system patches as necessary. Collaboration and Support: Collaborate with development teams to provide database support for applications. Work with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide timely resolutions. Compliance and Reporting: Ensure databases comply with regulatory and organizational standards, especially in government projects. Generate reports for stakeholders using advanced SQL queries and tools. Required Skills and Qualifications Must Have Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL development. Experience with both Oracle (11g/12c/19c) and SQL Server (2016/2019/2022) databases. Familiarity with database tools such as SQL Developer, SSMS, and TOAD. Knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization techniques. Understanding of database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies. Nice to Have Database Administration: Experience managing user roles, permissions, and database security. Familiarity with clustering, replication, and high-availability solutions. Knowledge of indexing strategies, partitioning, and data archiving techniques. Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams. Preferred Experience: Prior experience working with State or Government projects.
