Role : Security Application Engineer Location: Arlington, VA (Onsite) Duration: Long-Term Contract Overview: Join our team as a Security Application Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in implementing advanced security policies and tools to safeguard applications in a CI/CD environment. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, establish secure coding standards, and drive the adoption of a robust security program across web and mobile platforms. What You'll Do: Collaborate with engineers to implement Brokerage-specific security policies in CI/CD tools, including SAST, DAST, and SCA applications. Work with Development, DevOps, and Security teams to automate security and compliance processes. Define and enforce security rules for web and mobile applications (Java, React, Objective C, SWIFT, Kotlin, etc.). Provide secure coding guidance based on your development and security expertise. Create templates, patterns, and documentation to streamline security program efficiency and adoption. Required Skills Education: Bachelors degree with a minimum of 8 years of IT experience. Development Experience: 3+ years of experience in software development using Java and JavaScript. Security Expertise: Familiarity with OWASP Secure Coding Practices. Understanding of common software and web application vulnerabilities. Experience with application security scanning tools. DevOps Knowledge: Hands-on experience with CI/CD processes and tools (e.g., Jenkins). Scripting: Proficiency in Python scripting. Preferred Skills: Degree in Cybersecurity or certifications such as CISSP/CSSLP. Experience with SAST, DAST, or IAST implementation at an enterprise level. Familiarity with build environments such as Jenkins, Gradle, Maven. Hands-on experience with Secure SDLC tools like Burp Suite, Fortify, Checkmarx, Veracode, etc. Understanding of Threat Analysis, DevSecOps, and Secure SDLC practices. Knowledge of public cloud services. Proficiency with container and orchestration tools like Kubernetes, Docker, Puppet.
