Position: RPA Engineer (Automation Anywhere) Location: Remote Duration: 12+ months Contract Visa: Only USC/GC Interview: Video Job Description: Must 3 to 5 years of experience in software engineering or support roles. Proficiency in troubleshooting automation anywhere bots and debugging issues. Proficient with Automation Anywhere. Looking for 6/7 out of 10 on Automation Anywhere at the very least Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles. Ability to analyze log files, debug code, and identify solutions for product defects. Experience with database querying for data lookup or updates. Plus ServiceNow experience Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. Detail-oriented with excellent documentation and communication skills. Collaborative mindset with a focus on customer-centric solutions. Day-to-Day We are seeking a dedicated Support Engineer to focus exclusively on the maintenance and troubleshooting of existing Automation Anywhere (AA) bots. This role will involve typical support responsibilities, ensuring the stability and reliability of our automation environment. Your primary focus will be on resolving issues, troubleshooting failures, and escalating complex cases to senior engineers when necessary. The team is 8 people right now. There is a scrum master, an analyst, and the rest are engineers. Right now 3 people are doing this work who rotate through it depending on the time of day so they will be responsible for training this person in. They are also implementing a new alerting and incident mechanism (ServiceNow) so this is key to help them fine tune that as well. Automations were failing but they werent visible to the control room, so they want this person to come in and see the automation failing and fine tuning the overall process to have a better Incident Management response. Key Responsibilities Troubleshooting and Maintenance Investigate and resolve automation failures. Perform root cause analysis and implement fixes when applicable. Escalate complex or unresolved issues to senior engineers for further action. Monitor and manage tickets related to bot performance, closing them promptly after resolution. Collaboration and Communication Work closely with senior engineers and other stakeholders to ensure seamless issue resolution. Communicate with the cDev team and other relevant groups for smooth operational support. Documentation and Reporting Maintain detailed records of support activities, issue resolutions, and troubleshooting steps. Contribute to a knowledge base to aid in the quick resolution of recurring issues. DevOps Practices Participate in monitoring systems and tools to proactively identify potential automation issues.
