Job Title: CygNet SCADA Engineer Duration: 6 Months C2H Location: Hybrid-remote in Houston, TX (Need local candidates ) Skype Overview: We are seeking a mid-level CygNet SCADA Engineer to join our newly formed in-house SCADA/Automation team. Following the acquisition of approximately 850 operated wells, we have inherited the sellers CygNet site files and are looking for an expert to customize and enhance these files to fit our specific needs. This role will be critical in both front-end screen development and back-end system troubleshooting. We are also using XPOC for optimization, so familiarity with this tool is preferred. Key Responsibilities: SCADA System Design & Development: Design, build, and modify CygNet SCADA screens to meet operational requirements. Backend Support: Troubleshoot, fix, and optimize backend issues within the CygNet system, ensuring seamless communication between devices and the SCADA platform. System Maintenance & Administration: Oversee the installation, upgrades, and administration of the CygNet server and infrastructure. Report Development: Create and manage customized customer reports out of CygNet, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business needs. SCADA Help Desk Support: Provide ongoing maintenance and help desk support for the SCADA system to internal stakeholders. Integration & Optimization: Work with the automation team to integrate XPOC into existing systems and ensure smooth data flow for well optimization. Key Qualifications: Experience in CygNet SCADA : Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience with CygNet SCADA systems, including installation, server upgrades, and troubleshooting device connections. Screen Development : Proven ability to design, develop, and modify CygNet SCADA screens tailored to field operations. Backend Troubleshooting : Strong experience in fixing backend issues related to DDS Comm settings and communication breakdowns. Reporting Expertise : Knowledge of generating and customizing reports in CygNet, with the ability to provide actionable insights through customer reports. XPOC Familiarity : Experience with XPOC software is highly preferred. Problem-solving skills : Ability to diagnose and resolve system issues efficiently and effectively. Collaboration : Comfortable working closely with the automation, production, and IT teams to ensure SCADA performance aligns with business goals.
