This 100% remote position is ideal for a professional who is passionate about maintaining and enhancing critical software systems in the dynamic oil & gas industry. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, maintain, and modernize Smalltalk applications that support core business operations. Key Responsibilities Application Development: Design, develop, test, and deploy software using the Smalltalk programming language. System Maintenance: Maintain and enhance existing Smalltalk-based applications to meet evolving business needs. Object-Oriented Design: Implement object-oriented principles to build scalable, efficient, and maintainable systems. Legacy System Support: Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize legacy Smalltalk systems to ensure high reliability and performance. Integration: Work with APIs, databases, and other modern technologies to integrate Smalltalk applications with broader enterprise systems. QualificationsRequired Skills: Proven experience as a Smalltalk Developer, with at least 3-5 years of hands-on programming experience. Familiarity with integrating applications using databases, APIs, and networking protocols.
