The ideal candidate is technically strong, has experience with AWS services, and is familiar with containerization. Experience with time series forecasting or Prophet, DeepAR or other types of Neural Network Deep Learning models is a plus but not required; were looking for someone who has the aptitude and desire to learn these skills quickly. Responsibilities: Design, build, and deploy forecasting and machine learning models for time series data, leveraging AWS services such as EC2, Glue, Lambda, Step Function, S3, and Athena, etc. Use Docker for containerizing applications, enabling portability and efficient deployment. Work with large data sets using AWS Athena for querying and analysis. Collaborate with data engineering teams to optimize data pipelines and ensure smooth data flow. Experiment with and implement forecasting models, using tools like SageMaker or Virtual environment (training will be provided if necessary). Deliver insights and forecasts to support business decisions and strategy in a timely manner Must-Haves: Technical Skills: Strong programming skills in Python, particularly in Pandas and Numpy Experience with AWS services, including but are not limited to EC2, S3, Lambda, Step Function, Glue, ECS/EKS and Athena. Advance SQL skills, particularly for querying data in AWS Athena or similar. Data Science Skills: Strong statistical and analytical skills. Knowledge of statical models and machine learning fundamentals and experience working with different model types. Other Ability to adapt and learn new tools and technologies quickly. Problem-solving mindset and ability to work in an agile team. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be responsive and a self-starter Nice-to-Haves: Previous experience with Prophet or other time series forecasting models such as deep learning models PySpark and parallel distribution programming language Knowledge of Tableau or Power BI Without direct experience with time series forecasting, the candidate should be familiar with cross-validation and evaluation metrics such as RMSE and MAPE. They should have experience with some form of predictive modeling. They should have data wrangling skills such as dealing with missing values and resampling and understanding date formatting issues.
