Please find the job description given below and let me know your interest Title: Technical Writer ( (Onsite) Location: Orlando, FL (Need local candidates) Duration: 6+ Months Visa-USC Job Description: Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled Technical Writer with proven expertise in Document Type Definition (DTD) hierarchy and military documentation standards, including MIL-STD-450051-1C/2D and MIL-STD-38784A. The ideal candidate will also have hands-on experience with tools such as Arbor, Oxygen XML Editor, and/or Notepad++. This role involves creating and managing technical documentation that meets rigorous military and industry standards, ensuring accuracy and usability. Key Responsibilities: Documentation Development and Management: Create, edit, and maintain technical documentation, including manuals, user guides, and specifications, in compliance with MIL-STD-450051-1C/2D and MIL-STD-38784A. Code technical documents using XML while adhering to DTD hierarchies and schemas. Tools Utilization: Use ArborText for document formatting, layout, and publishing to ensure professional-quality deliverables. Manage and validate XML content using Oxygen XML Editor for compliance and authority control. Employ Notepad++ as needed for efficient XML editing and troubleshooting. Standards Compliance: Ensure all documentation meets military standards, conducting audits to maintain accuracy and compliance. Follow structured authoring guidelines to maintain consistency across all deliverables. Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), engineers, and project teams to gather and interpret technical information. Translate complex concepts into clear and accessible documentation for diverse audiences. Content Enhancement: Integrate diagrams, charts, and other visual aids to enhance the usability and clarity of technical documentation. Ensure that all content is logically structured and optimized for both digital and print formats. Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement: Conduct reviews, edits, and updates to technical documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency. Incorporate feedback from team members and end-users to improve document quality. Qualifications: Education and Experience: Bachelors degree in Technical Writing, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. 3+ years of experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in a military or government environment. Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in XML coding and familiarity with DTD hierarchy. Experience with ArborText for publishing and Oxygen XML Editor for authority and validation. Familiarity with military standards, including MIL-STD-450051-1C/2D and MIL-STD-38784A. Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with additional military documentation standards such as S1000D. Experience with Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and military documentation systems.
