Job Description - Job Title: Business Analyst-Level II Location: Albany NY Duration: 27 months Position(s) Required: Business Analyst-Level II Designated Work Location: 40 N Pearl St, Albany, NY The awarded consultant is required to be onsite at their assigned work location at the frequency required by the Office of Information Technology Services (ITS). This frequency is subject to change with advanced notice Position Anticipated Start Date: 1/9/2025 Anticipated Duration of the Engagement: 27 months (1/9/2025 - 4/8/2027) Mandatory Qualifications: Level II- Between four (4) and seven (7) years of experience as a Business Analyst Between four (5) and seven (7) years experience in agile, hybrid agile iterative software development, product backlog grooming, road map development MUST HAVE THIS EXPERIENCE HILIGHTED IN RED Between four (4) and seven (7) years of experience identifying, documenting and validating system requirements across multiple agencies, with a focus on the Human Service domain including eligibility, enrollment, and case management of SNAP, HEAP, PA, or Child Support Desirable Qualifications: Between four (4) and seven (7) years of experience on projects analyzing, extracting, transforming, and documenting legacy systems' functionality, system logic, and business rules Between four (4) and seven (7) years of experience identifying, documenting and validating system requirements on a mainframe modernization project covering multiple complex functional domains Between four (4) and seven (7) years' experience in writing quality user stories, creating prototypes, sprint planning Between four (4) and seven (7) years of experience of working independently in conducting the full analysis of a project Between four (4) and seven (7) years of experience utilizing requirements management tools similar to Blueprint Duties/Responsibilities: The BA will adhere to agile framework to create quality user stories, provide inputs for prototyping, review current state systems with to be process, work with product owner to add clarity on user stories Tasks included: Extract, transform, and document legacy systems' functionality Develop clear user stories working based on the requirements identified in the product roadmaps Transform existing time-consuming interaction to modernized user interaction Write user stories to develop extensive product backlog Participate in product backlog grooming sessions Capture system requirements on a mainframe modernization project covering multiple complex functional domains Participate in agile ceremonies Drive sprint planning sessions How many candidates will be interviewed: IES will interview the top five highest scoring candidates who are susceptible to award. In this instance IES will only interview the top 5 candidates based on technical and cost evaluations. The top five will not be altered regardless of post interview scoring.
