UID: d86d7e2283c44c26acef2b0824f2545a Role name: Network Subject Matter Experts Role Description: Network Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) will collaborate with data science and artificial intelligence researchers to train and evaluate AI models designed to translate natural language inputs into network device or controllers API calls for common networking tasks.SMEs will review API specifications and create or expand existing high-quality training and testing datasets that capture typical networking tasks and queries tailored to specific Cisco platforms: DNAC, Meraki, Nexus, IOS-XE CLI. They will also review model evaluation results to identify recurring failure patterns, determine whether training data deficiencies contribute to these issues, and propose enhancements to improve model accuracy and reliability Competencies: HiTech : Automation Testing, Cisco Meraki, Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure(ACI), Digital : Cisco DNA Center, Test Automation Experience (Years): 8-10 Essential Skills: Intermediate to expert level knowledge of Cisco routing and switching products and solutions, focusing on campus and enterprise networks such as Meraki, DNAC, Catalyst SD-WAN and data center technologies (ACI, Nexus). CCIE or JNCIE level certifications are a plus. Intermediate level proficiency using programming languages and / or automation frameworks for interacting with network devices and controllers. (Python, Ansible, etc.) Intermediate level of proficiency in Python, and the ability to interpret and write Python code. Interaction with 3rd party APIs and resources through REST. Intermediate knowledge of automation frameworks, such as Ansible and Terraform. Intermediate to expert level experience with designing, provisioning and operating enterprise networks based on Cisco equipment (preferably DNAC and Meraki). Desirable Skills: Analyze API specifications for various Cisco Network controllers in the context of translation models (current or in development) to:o Understand their capabilities and intended usage.o Identify and flag potential issues, such as: Inadequate or unclear documentation. Overlapping functionality across APIs. APIs that are non-functional or unstable.o Recommend solutions to address any identified issues, reducing their impact on translation models.
