Job Description - Job Title: End User Services Infrastructure Solutions Engineer Duration: 6-month contract to hire Location: Lake Forest, IL MOI: Skype Must have: a. Seeking a senior Solutions Engineer to design solutions (develop roadmap, blueprinting, etc.) focused on end user devices, specifically MacBooks, MS Intune, and other hardware devices. This person will be exclusively project-based and the ideal profile will have started from a background doing desktop support and grown into a role that is more solutions-focused dealing with solving business problems through the use of technology in the end user space. Call Notes: Solely focused on end user devices (MacBooks, Intune, Power, Group Policies used to managed end user devices) Grew up in Desktop Support and moved into Solution Engineering Won't be doing day to day support, but typically will have done that and moved into a focus of how do I solve business problems within the end user space Defining roadmap moving to a bring your own device model When are we going to replace iPhone 15 with iPhone 16 Can manage multiple priorities in an effective manner Somebody that can work through Intune and understand the platform, they don't need to open a ticket. Solution design, standards development, capability roadmaps Position Summary: Seeking a skilled and experienced End User Services Infrastructure Solutions Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role you will leading and direct infrastructure technology, managing services, and collaborating across teams to innovate and design the clients end user technology services. Your expertise will drive innovative improvements, enabling end users with cutting-edge technology solutions Leveraging extensive experience in end user service design and experience directly supporting business and IT leaders, this individual will serve as a thought leader driving innovative improvements to enable end users with technology. This position will have responsibility for analyzing user needs to determine technical requirements, participating in service design meetings, creating solution designs based on business requirements to align with business and IT strategies, defining technical and capability roadmaps, maintaining service life cycle management, and operational readiness. The individual in this role will identify alternative and emerging technology solutions and work with business and IT leadership to gain support for the vision. The individual will oversee the execution of that vision from ideation, design, build, operations, and retirement. Key Accountabilities: Collaborate with business and IT leadership to develop business cases, define requirements, develop technical roadmaps and strategies, prioritize initiatives, assess risk, and design implementation and integration of infrastructure service solutions. Drive innovation and promote new technologies and processes to improve end user technology solutions. Effectively communicate and collaborate with cross functional teams, business users, and leadership. Understand, resolve, and provide alternative solutions to business problems related to the end user technologies. Collaborate with users to incorporate feedback and influence the application/product design. Lead and oversee work by internal and 3rd party vendor teams. Engage across the IT organization on end user technology projects to support business goals and IT priorities. Design solutions to improve workstation deployment technologies such as Autopilot and improve configuration management capabilities with InTune. Design solutions to improve mobile device management capabilities leveraging InTune and Apple Business Manager. Engineer solutions to solve life cycle management blockers. Minimum Requirements: Bachelors degree and a minimum of 6 years relevant experience in end user services engineering OR a high school diploma and 8 years relevant experience in end user services engineering Demonstrated technical expertise with designing policies to manage Windows and Mac workstation and mobile devices leveraging InTune, Autopilot, operating systems, and Group Policy Experience leveraging Apple Business Manager and InTune to supervise Android and iOS mobile devices Experience communicating directly with and advising non-technical senior business leaders as a technical subject matter consultant Experience assessing, evaluating, and prioritizing technology solutions to business needs to drive end user productivity and satisfaction Experience writing project proposals and cost benefit analysis. Demonstrated expertise in M365 portal and productivity applications. Expertise in gathering and documenting functional and non-functional requirements and creating high level designs to deliver to those requirements. Then, managing requirement fulfillment through project execution. Experience leading, delegating, monitoring, and supporting the hands-on technical execution of work completed with both internal and vendor implementation teams Experience using Microsoft Power BI Experience integrating contact center software with other business systems including Microsoft Dynamics CRM Experience using Power and other scripting tools for managing large numbers of workstations.
