Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Salesforce PSS Developer to join our team. This role combines hands-on development with senior-level technical leadership, focusing on Salesforce Public Sector Solutions (PSS). The ideal candidate will excel in developing, implementing, and integrating Salesforce solutions, with strong expertise in APIs, on-premise relational databases, and CJIS-compliant systems. This role is pivotal in delivering scalable, secure, and innovative solutions for public sector clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement custom Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and OmniStudio tools (OmniScripts, Integration Procedures, DataRaptors).

Configure and customize Salesforce Public Sector modules such as Licensing and Permitting, Grants Management, and Case Management to meet client requirements.

Build reusable, scalable components, workflows, and automations to optimize performance and maintainability.

Design and implement integrations between Salesforce and external systems using REST, SOAP APIs, and middleware tools.

Develop and manage data synchronization between Salesforce and on-premise relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL).

Ensure secure and reliable data exchanges in accordance with public sector regulations and compliance standards.

Troubleshoot and optimize integration performance, ensuring minimal downtime and robust error handling.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other developers, ensuring adherence to Salesforce best practices and coding standards.

Act as the technical escalation point for complex integration and development challenges.

Partner with architects to validate and refine solution designs, ensuring technical feasibility and scalability.

Create robust, scalable designs that address business needs and technical constraints.

Lead development efforts for public sector-specific workflows, data models, and integrations while ensuring compliance with security requirements like CJIS and FedRAMP.

Conduct code reviews and ensure high-quality technical deliverables.

Work closely with Business Architects and Functional Teams to ensure technical solutions align with user stories and stakeholder expectations.

Clearly communicate technical concepts and design options to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Apply knowledge of public sector processes, regulations, and citizen engagement requirements to design tailored solutions.

Stay up-to-date with Salesforce PSS and related technologies, advising on new features and capabilities.

Knowledge of Salesforce multi-cloud implementations, including Experience Cloud, Service Cloud, and Tableau CRM.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on delivering secure and maintainable solutions.

Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Masters degree preferred.

Experience:

5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience, including Public Sector Solutions and OmniStudio.

Proven expertise in designing and implementing integrations with external systems, including APIs and on-premise relational databases.

Proficiency in Salesforce development tools such as Apex, LWC, OmniStudio (OmniScripts, Integration Procedures, DataRaptors), and Flow Builder.

Experience working on public sector projects, with a strong focus on data security and compliance.

Certifications:

Salesforce Platform Developer I (required); Platform Developer II (required).

Salesforce OmniStudio Developer or Consultant Certification (required).

Salesforce Public Sector Solutions Accreditation (preferred).

Salesforce Application Architect or System Architect certifications (preferred).

Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of Salesforce data modeling, security architecture, and integration patterns (REST, SOAP, and middleware tools).

Experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL)

Proficiency with tools like Git, VS Code, and CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce development.

Understanding of CJIS compliance requirements and their application in Salesforce solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in public sector projects, particularly those requiring CJIS, FedRAMP, or HIPAA compliance.

Familiarity with public sector use cases such as Licensing and Permitting, Grants Management, and Citizen Engagement.
