The successful candidate will play a key role in analyzing health insurance data, managing financial reporting, and optimizing operational efficiencies. This role will involve working closely with insurance claims, healthcare financials, and compliance, as well as supporting strategic initiatives to improve patient care and reduce costs. Key Responsibilities: 1. Data Analysis & Financial Reporting: o Analyze and interpret health insurance claims data, provider reimbursements, and patient costs. o Develop and maintain financial dashboards, reports, and KPIs to track operational efficiency and financial performance. o Conduct trend analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings, service utilization patterns, and revenue cycle optimization. 2. Health Insurance Operations: o Review health insurance policies, claim data, and reimbursement schedules for accuracy and compliance. o Collaborate on the design and refinement of insurance products, focusing on cost efficiency and competitive strategies. o Identify inefficiencies in claim processing and suggest improvements to enhance operational performance. 3. Financial Forecasting & Budgeting: o Assist in budgeting and forecasting by analyzing financial performance data and healthcare trends. o Provide financial models to project future performance and evaluate risks, particularly in the insurance space. 4. Requirements Gathering & Process Improvement: o Work closely with stakeholders to gather business requirements for healthcare insurance and financial systems. o Recommend process improvements for insurance workflows, billing systems, and operational efficiency. 5. Compliance & Regulations: o Ensure all financial reporting, insurance data management, and operational processes comply with industry regulations such as HIPAA, ACA, and state insurance laws. o Stay up-to-date with changes in healthcare insurance laws, regulations, and industry best practices. 6. Cross-functional Collaboration: o Collaborate with finance, operations, and IT teams to align financial strategies and operational goals with business needs. o Prepare and present financial and insurance data to leadership in clear, actionable formats. 7. Risk Management & Data Integrity: o Identify potential financial risks related to claims processing, billing errors, or fraud and recommend mitigation strategies. o Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial and insurance data in healthcare systems. Qualifications: Education: o Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field. o Master's degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA), Business Administration (MBA), or Finance is a plus. Experience: o 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in health insurance or healthcare financial management. o Experience with analyzing health insurance claims data, financial statements, and budget forecasting. o Strong understanding of healthcare financial systems and regulations. Skills: o Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, etc.). o Knowledge of health insurance policies, reimbursement models, and regulatory requirements (e.g., ACA, HIPAA). o Strong communication skills for presenting complex financial and insurance data to diverse stakeholders. o Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus. Certifications (Preferred): o Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP). o Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP).
