| Hi Contract Role: Building Safari Plugin development Exp 11 Location: Austin, TX & Sunnyvale, CA (Onsite) Must have: Must have experience building safari plugins Knowledge of technologies like Objective-C, Swift, SwiftUI JD: Experience Building Safari Plugins: The developer should have direct experience creating Safari plugins (also known as Safari extensions). This involves: Using Safari Extension APIs to create browser extensions that can interact with web pages, perform actions on behalf of users, and integrate seamlessly into the Safari browser. Familiarity with Safari App Extensions, which are now used to build modern browser extensions within macOS apps. Understanding of Apple's App Extension model, which is used to extend Safari's functionality. Knowledge of Objective-C: Proficiency in Objective-C for building native macOS and iOS applications, especially if the Safari plugin requires deeper integration with the system or other macOS applications. Understanding of Objective-C syntax and Cocoa frameworks for macOS development is necessary for tasks that involve system-level operations. Knowledge of Swift: Expertise in Swift, Apple's primary programming language for building applications on macOS, iOS, and other platforms. Experience in Swift development for building iOS and macOS apps, and potentially integrating Swift-based logic into Safari extensions. SwiftUI: Familiarity with SwiftUI, Apple's declarative framework for building user interfaces for macOS, iOS, and other platforms. Experience designing native interfaces for Safari extensions, especially if the extension includes a pop-up UI or interacts with the browser directly.
