Please let me know if you are interested in the position Title : Business Analyst Time, Payroll, and HCM Location : hybrid Parsippany, NJ , Must be LOCAL and available to interview on-site Duration : 6 months Visa : No H1b/CPT Job Description Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in timekeeping systems, payroll processing, and Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions. The ideal candidate will serve as a critical liaison between stakeholders, end-users, and technical teams, ensuring that business requirements are captured, documented, and translated into effective system solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of HCM platforms, payroll compliance, and time management processes to drive efficient operations and enhance organizational productivity. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and document business requirements related to timekeeping, payroll, and HCM processes. Analyze current systems and workflows, identifying areas for improvement and recommending innovative solutions. Partner with HR, payroll, and IT teams to ensure seamless integration of HCM modules, including time and attendance systems. Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for payroll and HCM processes, staying updated on compliance regulations and industry best practices. Translate business requirements into technical specifications for developers and third-party vendors. Assist in configuring, testing, and deploying new features or updates within time, payroll, and HCM systems. Provide end-user training and create detailed documentation, including process flows, user guides, and system functionality descriptions. Support the resolution of system issues, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions. Facilitate change management processes to ensure smooth adoption of new systems or processes. Generate reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to timekeeping, payroll, and HCM metrics. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Information Systems, or a related field. Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with specific expertise in timekeeping systems, payroll processing, and HCM platforms. Familiarity with leading HCM solutions such as Workday, ADP, Kronos, or Oracle HCM. In-depth knowledge of payroll regulations, time and attendance policies, and HR compliance standards. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex business needs. Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies, including creating use cases, workflows, and process diagrams. Hands-on experience with system testing, including UAT, regression testing, and performance testing. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality results on time. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Agile or Scrum methodologies. Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP or PMI-PBA). Experience with data migration, system implementation, or upgrades in an HCM/payroll environment. Familiarity with integrations between HCM systems and payroll or timekeeping applications.
